01. SCOPE OF THESE TERMS
These Driver Terms & Conditions apply to applications for and participation in DVM Group mobility operations where these Terms are incorporated into the relevant onboarding or operational process.
They establish general requirements relating to applications, documents, vehicle use, operational conduct, safety, digital systems and participation in DVM mobility activities.
Additional project, partner, commercial or contractual terms may also apply depending on the particular operational arrangement.
02. DRIVER APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants are required to complete the requested application information and provide the documents required for the relevant onboarding process.
Complete the required application information.
Provide the required supporting documents.
Application is reviewed by authorised DVM personnel.
Eligibility and documentation are checked.
Applicant receives the relevant status or next step.
03. APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE WORK
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance, onboarding, engagement, access to a DVM vehicle, access to an operational programme or allocation of work.
DVM may consider factors including operational requirements, availability, documentation, eligibility, vehicle suitability, experience and business demand when reviewing applications.
Driver approval does not itself guarantee any minimum quantity of routes, shifts, tasks, hours or earnings unless DVM has expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
04. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
Applicants and approved drivers must provide information that is accurate, current and genuinely relates to the person submitting it.
Do not submit another person's identity documents or information.
Driving information must remain accurate and valid.
Material changes should be communicated where relevant.
Own-vehicle information must accurately describe the vehicle being used.
Providing materially false, misleading or altered information may result in an application being rejected or operational access being suspended or withdrawn.
05. DOCUMENTS & VERIFICATION
The exact documents required may depend on the role, vehicle arrangement and operational requirements applicable at the time.
Valid licence information and supporting evidence required for verification.
Appropriate identity information or documentation where required.
Relevant screening evidence where lawful and required for the operation.
Applicable documentation where an approved driver uses their own vehicle.
06. DBS & BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Where appropriate and lawful for a particular operational requirement, DVM may request relevant DBS or other permitted background information as part of verification.
Applicants must not provide falsified, altered or misleading screening documents.
DBS-related or criminal offence information is subject to additional privacy and legal controls and should only be accessed by authorised personnel for legitimate purposes.
A screening document submitted through onboarding should only be used for the authorised verification purpose and handled according to applicable privacy requirements.
07. DRIVING LICENCE & DRIVER ELIGIBILITY
Drivers must hold the licence and driving entitlement required for the vehicle they are expected to operate.
Where required, DVM may request further information or evidence reasonably necessary to verify licence status, endorsements or other driver eligibility requirements.
A driver must inform DVM of a relevant change affecting their ability or legal entitlement to drive for the operation.
08. OWN VEHICLE OR DVM VEHICLE
During application or onboarding, a driver may be asked whether they intend to use an approved own vehicle or require access to a DVM vehicle.
The vehicle must meet applicable operational, legal, insurance and suitability requirements.
Availability is subject to approval, fleet availability and applicable vehicle conditions.
Selecting a vehicle preference during application does not guarantee that the requested arrangement will be available or approved.
09. DRIVER RESPONSIBILITY FOR VEHICLES
Relevant vehicle condition checks should be completed before operation.
Vehicles must be operated safely and according to applicable law.
Damage, defects or warning indicators should be reported promptly.
Operational vehicles should be kept in a reasonable condition.
DVM or partner equipment must be protected from unnecessary damage or loss.
Vehicles, keys and operational equipment must be secured appropriately.
10. MOBILITY OPERATIONS
Depending on the relevant programme, drivers may undertake activities including battery swaps, collections, bike movements, deployments and operational vehicle movements.
Replacement and movement of approved operational battery packs.
Collection, relocation and deployment activities.
Movement between hubs, routes and operational locations.
Accurate completion and reporting of operational activity where required.
11. BATTERY SAFETY
Drivers involved in battery operations must follow the relevant DVM, partner and manufacturer safety arrangements applicable to the task.
Batteries showing significant damage, swelling, abnormal heat, leakage, smoke or other potentially hazardous behaviour must not simply continue through routine operational handling.
Battery handling, transport, damaged batteries and emergency escalation.
12. HEALTH, SAFETY & RAMS
Drivers are expected to follow applicable health and safety instructions, risk controls, site rules, operational briefings and method statements relevant to the work being undertaken.
An instruction to complete a task does not require a driver to knowingly ignore an immediate and uncontrolled safety risk.
13. OPERATIONAL CONDUCT
Drivers representing DVM during an operation are expected to behave professionally and responsibly.
Treat customers, partners, colleagues and members of the public appropriately.
Follow road traffic laws and avoid unsafe driving practices.
Follow applicable hub, client and site requirements.
Do not misuse vehicles, batteries, equipment or operational systems.
Do not falsify completed tasks, activity records or operational information.
Raise significant safety or operational concerns through the relevant channel.
14. DRIVER PORTAL & DIGITAL ACCOUNTS
Where DVM provides a Driver Portal or other authenticated digital service, the account is intended for the authorised driver.
Login credentials must not be shared with another person.
Suspicious activity should be reported promptly.
Portal access should only be used for its intended DVM purpose.
DVM may restrict or withdraw access where reasonably required.
15. INCIDENTS, DAMAGE & NEAR MISSES
Relevant incidents involving vehicles, batteries, equipment, property, injuries, unsafe conditions or near misses should be reported through the applicable DVM operational process.
Where there is an immediate danger, priority should be given to personal safety and the applicable emergency arrangements before routine operational activity continues.
16. TASKS, AVAILABILITY & OPERATIONAL DEMAND
Mobility activity can vary according to customer demand, operational volumes, location, vehicle availability and partner requirements.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, approval as a driver does not create a guarantee of continuous or minimum work.
DVM may adjust operational requirements, routes, hubs or task allocation where reasonably required to meet business or partner needs.
17. COMMERCIAL ARRANGEMENTS & STATUS
These website Driver Terms do not by themselves determine whether a person is engaged as an employee, worker, self-employed contractor or under another lawful arrangement.
The actual nature of any engagement, together with applicable payment arrangements, responsibilities, deductions and other commercial terms, should be confirmed separately through the relevant written onboarding or contractual documentation.
Nothing on this public webpage should be interpreted as replacing the specific agreement governing an individual driver's actual relationship with DVM.
18. SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL FROM OPERATIONS
DVM may place an application on hold, restrict operational access or remove a driver from an operation where reasonably required.
Relevant reasons may include:
19. PRIVACY & DRIVER DOCUMENTS
Personal information and documents submitted during driver onboarding are subject to DVM's privacy and information-security controls.
Driver applicants should review the separate Driver Applicant Privacy Notice together with DVM's main Privacy Policy.
20. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
DVM may update these Driver Terms when operational systems, onboarding requirements, safety controls or business arrangements change.
Where a material change affects an existing driver relationship, additional communication or agreement may be required depending on the circumstances.
21. GOVERNING LAW
These website Driver Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal rights that may apply to a particular individual or agreement.
RELATED DOCUMENTS
Where these Terms are incorporated into the DVM driver application process, applicants may be required to confirm that they have read and accepted the applicable Driver Terms before submitting an application.
