To rent a vehicle from DVM Group, all drivers must meet the following criteria:

• Age Requirement: Drivers must be aged between 30 and 70 years old.
• Driving Licence: A full, valid UK or EU driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Points / Endorsements: We accept licences with up to 6 penalty points for minor offences such as speeding. Major endorsements including IN, DR, DD and CD are strictly not accepted.
• Documents Required at Pickup:
  1. Physical Photocard Driving Licence — no copies or scans.
  2. DVLA Check Code for UK licence holders.
  3. Two separate proofs of address such as a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months.

Payment Methods: Rental fees are payable in advance via Credit or Debit card. We do not accept cash for security deposits.

Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals to cover potential damage, fines or missing fuel. The amount depends on the vehicle type and insurance package selected. Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days after the vehicle is returned and inspected.

Cancellation Policy:

• More than 24 Hours Notice: Full Refund.
• Less than 24 Hours Notice: No Refund.
• No-Show: No Refund.

Standard Cover: Included in your daily rate. The Hirer is liable for an excess amount of up to £1,000 in the event of damage or theft.

Exclusions — Not Covered: Insurance does not cover damage caused by negligence, including:

• Overhead Damage: Hitting bridges, barriers or trees, including roof damage.
• Tyres & Windscreen: Punctures, cracks or wheel damage unless Full Protection is purchased.
• Interior: Stains, rips or cigarette burns.
• Keys & Cables: Loss of vehicle keys or EV charging cables.

Fuel Policy — Diesel: "Full to Full". Vehicles supplied with a full tank must be returned full. Missing fuel will be charged at the pump price plus a £20 refuelling administration fee.

Electric Vehicles — EV: Vehicles must be returned with at least 80% battery charge. If returned below 80%, a charging fee will apply. Missing EV cables will be charged at full replacement cost, approximately £250.

Prohibited Use:

• No off-road driving.
• No towing unless written permission is granted.
• No illegal transport of goods or people.
• No Smoking in any vehicle. A £150 cleaning fine applies.

The Hirer is fully liable for all fines incurred during the rental period. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Speeding Tickets
• Parking Fines — PCN
• Congestion Charge & ULEZ — Central London
• Dart Charge — Dartford Crossing
• Bus Lane violations

Administration Fee: An administration fee of £25.00 will be applied for each fine DVM Group is required to process or transfer liability for.
